Membership

Our AAUW-Tahoe Nevada Branch supports the overall AAUW mission to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and philanthropy.

To join AAUW Tahoe Nevada:

  1. Go to the National AAUW website, www.aauw.org
  2. Select “Login” in upper right. (Do NOT select “membership”)
  3. Create an account with a user name and password
  4. Find state (NV) and Branch (TahoeNV) – NV0014 (NOT North Tahoe)
  5. Complete the application form
  6. Your dues include membership to AAUW National and to Nevada State AAUW

Membership in AAUW is open to any graduate holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution. Students working toward a qualifying degree may become student affiliates. If you experience any problems in joining, send an email to  membership@tahoenvaauw.org.

Dues:

Dues are $117 for the 2025 membership year, which includes

AAUW dues are entirely tax deductible. Please consult your financial advisor.  AAUW Tahoe Nv501(c) (3) tax exempt organization registered in the state of Nevada. Federal Tax ID: 94-3055754

Inclusion Statement:

Membership Information

New Members: 

A New Members Reception is given every Fall and Spring.  We introduce you to our Board members and Interest Group leads as well as enjoy nibbles and conversation.  You will receive an email from Membership@tahoenvaauw.org to RSVP this event.   You will also start receiving emails from Events and Newsletter.

Renewing Members:

You will receive an email from AAUW National approximately 11 months after your initial application. This will have a link to process your renewal online using your credit card. If you have a problem processing your renewal, contact the Membership Chair.

 

Student Members:

If you are a student working toward a qualifying degree you may become a Student affiliate. Visit AAUW National Student Professionals for more information on becoming a student affiliate. You can also contact the Membership Chair regarding this or any AAUW membership matters.

You may join and renew at the student rate of $18.81 through graduation.
