American Association of University Women Tahoe-Nevada is a non-profit corporation formed in  Nevada, and registered with the Nevada Secretary of State. Our purpose is the advancement of  equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. 

Every dollar above and beyond the cost of putting on an event goes towards a range of scholarships and programs in support of our mission.

Fundraising Committee

Most funds raised by AAUW Tahoe-Nevada target scholarships for the local high school girls entering college and continuing their education.  The Board votes regarding some funds assisting other girls educational programs.  In addition we started a Community Education Grants Program to promote STEM and Education in the community.

2025 Year End Fundraising Matching Grants $10,000 is our goal to fundraise $20,000.   See our flyer.
