Career Technical Education (CTE) Outreach Program                                              

This new outreach program is focused on providing information to Incline High School students on alternatives to traditional 4-year college degree programs.  CTE educational options may include 2-year associate degrees, certificate programs, training opportunities in the military, as well as others. These kinds of educational opportunities often lead to good paying jobs. This Outreach effort in no way will detract from our AAUW Tahoe Nevada’s longstanding college scholarship program, but allows women who may never go to a traditional 4-year college to have successful careers and can enable them to meet their full potential.

Each month, we invite speakers to present their educational journeys to a group of high school students. We are still looking for volunteers to be part of our CTE Outreach Committee to help us plan future speakers and support the end of year award process.
