The Outdoor Enthusiasts’ Group meets year-round to enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, other outdoor
activities (and good companionship!) in the beautiful Lake Tahoe area.
Our hiking group meets on Monday mornings and becomes a snowshoeing group in the winter.
We are currently in the middle of snowshoeing season but are hoping for some fresh snow. We meet at the trailhead around 9:30 or 10:00 AM, depending on where we’re going and the weather/road conditions.
Outings are generally two to three hours long and are sometimes followed by a lunch option.
In the winter we also have cross country ski outings on other weekdays on the trails groomed by Nevada Nordic below Chickadee Ridge near the Mt. Rose Hwy.
The kayaking group, led by Liz Paganelli, launches from Ski/Hermit beaches in Incline on Wednesday mornings during warmer weather. Kayaking season is May – October.
Outings of the road-biking group—the Wheeling Women—are currently led by Mary Fenelon and Barbara Christian. They generally take place on Thursdays or Fridays and outings are weather dependent.
Please contact communications@tahoenvaauw.org if you are a member and would like to join us and are not currently on the email
list. You will be notified by email of planned outings as well as any last-minute changes by the group leads.
We hope you will join us in enjoying the great outdoors!
