End of Year Donations

DONATE

‘Tis the season to share our bounty with others. Beyond our well-established 4-year college scholarships, AAUW has expanded its support of education to include Community Education Grants for students at the elementary, middle and high school levels. You should be extremely proud of where our money has gone.

This Fall, we provided direct support for the following educational endeavors:

  • We purchased a Hydroponic Living Garden to be used during Weird Wednesday and Teen Tuesday activities of the Incline Village Branch of the Washoe County Library.
  • We purchased Girls Who Code booklets to attract interest in the topic of computer coding in anticipation of starting an after-school program for middle school students.

Working in conjunction with the Incline Education Fund, we are also supporting:

  • Math Intervention to help elementary students most affected by learning loss during the COVID years.
  • The after-school Culinary Club focused on cooking instruction, the science of cooking, chemistry, and good eating habits of middle school students
  • At the high school level, we are supporting the program called Project Lead the Way for their new four-year engineering program.

Each of these programs is intended to improve the educational pipeline of outstanding students who are eligible for our four-year college scholarships. Your help is needed as we become more integrated into the total educational landscape of our community. Please donate on Giving Tuesday, November 29 by clicking here:
