I’ve been a full time resident of Incline Village since 2006, when I joined the Tahoe Nevada Branch of AAUW. I’ve served in the following capacities: Newsletter, Treasurer, Fundraising Chair, and President Elect as well as filling in on some specific projects, and participating on the nominating committee. In addition to working and volunteer work with AAUW, I have been a volunteer for a number of non-profits in the area including: Pet Network, Project MANA, Tahoe Safe Alliance, and served as a member of the Washoe County Citizens Advisory Board until 2015.
I graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Social Work, and from California State University-Hayward with a Masters in Public Administration.
Originally from Southern California via Chicago, I moved to Incline Village after retiring from the City of Los Angeles, as a Sr. Human Resources Analyst. Prior to my City career I taught junior high and elementary classes and was vice-principal of a school in Los Angeles. After moving to Incline I became a realtor and worked in that field for several years. Now completely retired but not idle, I volunteer at St. Francis of Assisi Church, belong to two book clubs, two knitting groups, am on the AAUW-TN Fundraising Committee, as well as serving as AAUW-TN Board Secretary. I also have a busy family life with a son and three daughters who all live locally.
Cornelia Gould, Treasurer
I have been a member of AAUW since the early 1980’s when I was raising my children in Martinez, CA. Later we moved to Half Moon Bay, CA. There I served as both Treasurer and President of the AAUW – Half Moon Bay branch in the early 2000’s. My career included 20+ years as a lawyer in the ERISA (retirement plan) field in San Francisco. Thereafter, I became involved in real estate investing. My husband, Ed, and I spent five years sailing from San Francisco to Australia and, after returning from that trip, moved to Incline Village in 2013.
